Jack-O-Lanterns

Well we were able to hold off Jake for a week, but that was it, he was so excited to carve the pumpkins. Lucky for us Granny & Papa let us all come over and carve our pumpkins at there house. Matt thought they tasted great (I guess he's eaten worse) yucky! Jake had a great time but thought that he should be dressed up to do them. We had a good time, I think dad had the most fun, he got to use a power knife to carve it & then we couldn't find a lighter stick so he got out a Torch so that we could get them lit. I think we all did a pretty good job. And the boys had a good time too.

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Lynette (Granny) and I took the boys to the pumpkin patch. They had a good time. Jake tried to be SuperMan and pick up the big pumpkins. Matt on the other hand thought they looked yummy, to bad the little baby one he picked to try a bite of was rotten (yucky). He hasn't tried to bite into any more pumpkins yet but you never know with this one. We'll send pics soon of what we turn our pumkins into.

Matt's First Big Crash

Well here is snapshots of Matt's first big crash (of course this one was Jake's fault) he was trying to make sure that Matt knew who was in charge. So here is what happened. Matt things he is a big boy and climbed up on the chairs to sit down. Then Jake decided he wanted to use the chairs, so he pulled Matt off of them and when Matt fell he caught his face & eye on the corner of the dresser. I thought for sure he would have his first shiner but he got lucky. Lucky for me Matt is a tough kid and still likes to get back in the saddle.

Fun @ Kara & Billy's

We were down at Kara & Billy's new house. It is beautiful. We all had so much fun they were great to put us up. Jake & Chan had lot's of fun playing and we even tried the pool (it was a little cold) but we still had a good time. Billy helped us to put on several pounds by feeding us so good, but we couldn't turn anything down, he is awesome in the Kitchen. We also got to hang with Retta, Colt & Chan it was so fun. We can't wait to get together with everyone again soon.

Family Pics

So we went to have family pics done and as you can see we had 2 very "happy boys." Neither one was very thrilled with having to smile and look nice. I will put more of our shots later. Thought you might enjoy seeing us at our "best".

Head Shoulders Knees & Toes

So the boys are learning all about their bodies, which often leaves us laughing.

So we had Kara staying with us this last week and Jacob saw her putting in her contacts and so later he came and asked me if I had to put my eyeballs in. I thought it was pretty funny. So then we had to talk about how come Kara gets to put her eyeballs in but I don't. Kids are so funny. It's good that they can make us laugh.

Matt has learned how to clap his hands he thinks it's great however, he gets upset if you are cheering for joy while he does it. The two seem to go together.

A few days ago Jake was the lucky kid who got to have Chocolate pudding for lunch. When he was done I told him that we needed to wash his face because he was very messy. He proceeded to lick as much of his face as he could with his tongue. And then told me that his "Tongue Washed it For Him." It was all I could do to quit laughing long enough to help him get cleaned up and sent off to play. Gotta love these kids.

Fire Truck

Today Jake got to go the the Home Depot Kids days. He built a Fire Truck that holds crayons, it turned out really cute, he was proud of his project. They also had a real Fire Truck there, he got to climb in it and check out lot's of neat buttons. The firemen even let him put on one of there hat's and sit in the drivers seat. It was a pretty great day. We can't wait till Matt is big enough to do a project to.

Matt's 1st Birthday

Matt's birthday was lot's of fun. He was happy with his first present but was so happy with it that he didn't want to keep opening the rest. It was so fun for the boys to have so many of their Grandparents (we had 3 sets) and Aunts, Uncle, & cousins there. They played so hard that when it was time for bed they both crashed. Matt got two cakes neither of which he would put his fingers in. We tried sticking them in for him and he didn't like it. I haven't figured out why when you give the kids permission to get messy they don't want to but when you need them to stay clean for something they have no problem getting muddy and making a mess. Oh well, I guess as long as we can keep them happy that is all that really matters.

Lone Rock

I figured Jake needed a picture with the "Big Rock". It's pretty crazy to think how much of this rock used to be under water. We just hope that we will never be able to camp next to it.

Lake Powell

Just a couple of picutres from our camp at Lake Powell. It's to bad that it doesn't look like this all day long every day. But if it did I might never come home. We had so much fun, I still think it is funny when people ask me if I had a "relaxing" vacation. And I just tell them no I have 2 toddler boys. That takes the relaxing out but adds fun and entertainment.

Feeding the Ducks

Jacob just loved the ducks. I had never seen ducks at Lake Powell befor but they we're really fun. I am sure that Jake overfed them but he was having so much fun. And they just kept comming back for more.

Matt

How can you not love a face like that. He is such a cutie pie. He has so much fun just living life.

Rainbows

I couldn't remember the last time I saw a rainbow, let alone a double. I just had to take a picture of it. Jake thought that it was pretty neat. He has started telling me how impressed he is by things. It is amazing to see the world through are kids eyes.

The Destroyer

Well Matt had almost as much fun crushing Jake's castle as Jake did building it. As you can imagine Jake did not take this well. It is sure a good thing that Sand is so easy to rebuild.

Sand Castle

Jake & Daddy had so much fun building sand castles all week long. Jake was very proud once he had it all finished.

Matthew @ Lake Powell

Matt had such a good time playing at Lake Powell. He loved the water and the sand. He started walking the week befor we went so he thought he was such a big boy being able to go where ever he wanted.

My Garden

Ok wel not to much of a garden but this year I thought I would try my hand at growing something. Flagstaff doesn't have much of a growing season so I was so excited to have my tomato plant actually have 3 tomaoto's on it.

Cowboy's

Nana Fish made the boys the cutest stick horses for their birthday's. They have had lot's of fun with them. Matt thinks the mane is for eating, but Jake seems to have the ridding part down pretty good.

Jake's 1st Fishing Trip

Dad and Scott took Jake out for his first fishing trip. He had so much fun. He came back and got the fish out and had to bring it for everyone to see. The fish didn't seem to bother him at all, he thought it was great to get to poke at the poor fishes eyes.

Grandpa

The boys loved hanging out with Grandpa while we were camping. He sure knows how to keep smiles on their faces. Thank goodness someone can.

Matt Camping

Matt also loved camping he figured the best way to get his fiber was from all the pine needls, sticks & dirt. He was still crawling so everything was right in front of him and he figured that he should have it.
